SPF: Love
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Smith Room 107

Love is a fundamental human experience, yet we rarely think rationally about love. We praise it with poetry. We wait for it to happen. We mourn its loss, but we rarely stop to consider what love is, what it should be, and what role it should play in our lives. This month, the Shreveport Philosophical Forum will think carefully about love. Can people love too much or in the wrong way? Could love be free, embracing many lovers, or does love lose something when it's not exclusive? Can love be unconditional, or can we only love what is good in another? Perhaps most importantly, what is love? A union between two people? An evaluation of someone's worth? Does love have its reasons? Join us to talk about love.
